Buildots targets clients and consultants with Trollope appointment
Buildots is targeting consultants and clients after appointing Peter Trollope, formerly of CBRE and JLL, to its advisory board.

Trollope was global head of project management advisory at CBRE and, prior to that, executive director at JLL. The first half of his career included stints with Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine.
“After years leading transformation in global real estate and construction services, I’ve seen first-hand how our industry’s delivery models still rely too heavily on manual oversight and subjective reporting,” said Trollope. “Joining Buildots felt like a natural next step: to help scale a solution that moves our industry from gut-feel to objective truth, and from firefighting to foresight.”
He added: “[This is] an opportunity to be part of something that’s not just digitising workflows, but fundamentally changing how we deliver value on site. It’s rare to see a platform that serves both the boardroom and the boots-on-the-ground with equal clarity, but Buildots is doing exactly that.
“A huge amount of project risk stems from misalignment between what’s reported and what’s actually happening on site. That disconnect fuels late payments, finger-pointing, and rushed decisions. I want to challenge the industry to stop tolerating these as inevitable. We’ve accepted too many structural inefficiencies for too long.“
Roy Danon, co-founder and CEO of Buildots, said: “Peter’s deep understanding of how owners, consultancies and capital partners operate makes him invaluable as we expand our reach within this critical market segment. His track record of scaling professional services businesses and driving operational excellence perfectly complements our vision of transforming construction through AI-driven insights.”
It's been a busy year at Buildots. Earlier this month, it launched a portfolio dashboard, giving users early warning signals, standardised reporting and objective oversight of their projects. Last month, the business secured a further $45m (£33.4m) to continue its expansion.
In January, it launched a tool that automates the Line of Balance project control method. And in October last year, Buildots launched Dot, an interactive AI assistant for construction process management that answers questions with up-to-date information about the status of building activities.
