Stuart Bell joins Amodal as CEO
Digital construction consultancy prepares for next phase of growth by appointing Stuart Bell and Wes Simmons.

Former Glider Technology director Stuart Bell has joined Amodal as CEO. His appointment is part of the digital construction consultancy’s strengthening of its senior management team as it expands.
Bell brings more than three decades of leadership in strategy and growth with Union Square, Deltek, GroupBC, Bentley Systems and Glider. With a track record of advising tier 1 contractors, asset owners and property developers, Bell will lead the company into new markets. His focus will include expanding Amodal’s reach across capital programmes and real estate portfolios, deepening its capabilities in information management, and maximising customer value through a blend of consultancy and technology-enabled delivery.
Joining Bell is Wes Simmons as executive chair. He has more than 40 years’ experience scaling software and services businesses in the construction and infrastructure sectors. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Sage, Bentley Systems, GroupBC and Open ECX. As executive chair, Simmons will provide strategic oversight and governance, supporting the board and executive team in accelerating Amodal’s transformation and growth journey.
Amodal has a growing client base (including British Land, GPE, Hines, McLaren, BBV, Skanska and Tilbury Douglas) providing ISO 19650-aligned consultancy, CDE implementation, digital strategy and project delivery support services.
Amodal directors Tom Whiting and Michael Barber co-founded the consultancy five years ago. They said: “We are thrilled to welcome Wes and Stuart to Amodal at such a pivotal moment. Their appointments mark a step change in the ambition and leadership capacity of the business.
“The built environment is undergoing rapid digital transformation, and with Wes’s strategic vision and Stuart’s growth mindset and leadership, Amodal is perfectly placed to scale and lead. These hires represent a significant milestone in our mission to support better digital delivery, improved project outcomes, and long-term asset value.”
