Nialli Visual Planner becomes web-based platform
The Visual Planner construction planning software from Nialli is now available as a web-based platform.

Previously only available as a Windows-based app, the Nialli Visual Planner effectively digitalises the Lean Construction Institute’s Last Planner system. Now users can access Visual Planner from a Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser, eliminating the need for installations or updates. In addition, support for single sign-on authentication is included to simplify secure access within enterprise IT environments.
Furthermore, a new API allows customers to connect Visual Planner data with other applications and analytics tools in their tech stack. Milestones and activities can be imported directly from the master schedule to streamline planning and enable clear comparisons between planned items and actual progress
Visual Planner maintains its design, mirroring the familiar tactile experience of physical sticky-note planning boards but with the added advantages of digital permanence, scalability and instant reporting, Nialli said. Real-time updates and automated reporting capabilities, such as Percent Plan Complete and reasons for variance, provide valuable insights for ongoing process improvement.
“This latest release of Nialli Visual Planner represents our continued commitment to addressing the evolving needs of construction professionals,” said Nancy Knowlton, Nialli CEO. “By moving to a fully web-based platform and enriching the Last Planner experience with innovative features and improved accessibility, we’re helping teams execute their projects more efficiently, collaboratively and profitably.”
Later this year, Visual Planner will gain mobile and tablet views, along with the ability to attach site photos directly to activities and constraints within the digital workspace.
Visual Planner is available directly from Nialli and select agents globally. Annual subscriptions are available on a per-plan basis.
Nialli, partnering with Willmott Dixon and Ascentae, was nominated in the Digital Innovation in Productivity category at the Digital Construction Awards 2025.
