Digital Construction Week 2025 day two: finish what you started
It’s day two at Digital Construction Week (DCW): what can you do today?

DCW's second and final day is upon us. There’s still plenty to see and do...
Kit of parts
If you didn't have time on day one, head to stand D235 to see a 3D model of WSP's kit of parts approach on the modular structures connecting the new terminal pier to aircraft stands at Manchester Airport.
This method enhances efficiency, reduces onsite disruptions and simplifies project delivery by leveraging factory environments for manufacturing prior to assembly on site, according to WSP.
More sessions
While you can't watch replays of the sessions that you missed on day one, you've still got a huge choice of fascinating speaker sessions to attend. Here are some that have caught the attention of DC+:
10am: ISO 19650 update – just like buses, three come at once!
On the Information Management Stage, Paul Shillcock of Operam Academy will provide a quick update on the review and revisions to the first three parts of the 19650 suite of standards.
11am: AI and digitisation: Overcoming the legal minefield
Hang around the Information Management Stage and you'll get to hear IM4Legal's May Winfield discuss the legal risks around AI and offer some practical help.
Noon: Addressing one elephant at a time… is LOIN actually understood?
On the Information Management Exchange Stage, MottMac's Darren Barker will answer this question: "LOD and LOIN should define standardisation across the industry, but are we efficiently or actually delivering this?"
1pm: The digital twin journey: Yellow Brick Road or journey to Mordor?
Dr Melanie Robinson and Dr Dean Douglas of Okana take to the Transformation Stage and will draw on both their academic research into the development of digitalisation in the built environment and industry experience of implementing innovative projects to provide insights into the industry’s approach to digital twins.
3pm: The future of collaboration: Extended reality at KPF
Anna Mytcul from KPF will hit the Innovation Stage to share KPF's experience of using extended reality tools.
Two shows, one location
Kill two birds with one stone: DCW is co-located with its sister show GEO Business. There you will find more than 100 exhibitors from the geospatial sector.
The education programme features more than 120 presentations, as well as sharing DCW's Main Stage programme. GEO Business stages focus on utilities and energy, transport and infrastructure and earth observation. If you want hands-on demonstrations of technology, there's the Demo Stage.
Where we're going, we don't need roads
As DCW is celebrating its 10th anniversary, the organisers are heading back to the future: the time-travelling DeLorean is putting in an appearance at the show. Join the queue behind this writer for a selfie with the icon of Back To The Future (and the epitome of 80s excess).
